General Purpose – Help maintain an efficient office environment providing accounting, administrative, and clerical support to management.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Post-Secondary business/accounting training and/or previous accounting/office experience
• competent internet and computer skills including MS Office, Excel, or equivalent
• exceptional numerical, literacy and interpersonal skills
• accounts payable/receivable reconciliation
• inventory management and delivery claims processing and reconciliation

The Wayway Food Mart, operating for 27 years as a successful independent affiliate of Loblaws, is anticipating an expansion project that will require additional administrative staff.  The Wayway Food Mart is a progressive, community minded business operating on the Waywayseecappo First Nation.  This may not be an entry level position; however training and guidance may be an option for a suitable candidate who may not quite meet the preferred education/experience criteria. This position is best suited for someone looking for long term employment. In addition to daily duties, the successful applicant may be required to train and develop additional support staff as required.  For the right candidate, this position also could expand into a role with the Waywayseecappo Development Corporation.

General Purpose – The successful candidate will report to management and be responsible for receiving, merchandising, ordering and management of grocery inventory.

• competent internet and computer skills including MS Office, Excel, or equivalent
• exceptional numerical, literacy and interpersonal skills
• self-motivated, reliable, conscientious and in great physical condition

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• competent computer skills
• exceptional numerical, literacy and interpersonal skills
• previous retail experience

As a primary contact with our customers, you must be conscientious, respectable, courteous and have an out-going personality.  You must reliable, honest, and capable to meet our expected integrity standards.

Other duties may include:

• General cleaning/sanitization
• Stocking and facing shelves
• Assisting customers with their purchases
• Other tasks as assigned by management or supervisor

As an entry level cashier you will be expected to work weekends as required and a flexible work schedule.

Customer Service Greeters

General Purpose

We have determined that due to existing health protocols, we need to add customer service greeters to our staff to ensure a safe and hospitable shopping environment for our customers.

Primary responsibilities

• Welcome shoppers to the Food Mart
• Take temperatures of everyone who enters the building
• Ensure that customers are showing no obvious signs of illness
• Direct customers to hand sanitize on entry and exit
• Sanitize shopping carts/baskets after customer usage
• Limit number of customers as required by protocol
• General store cleaning/sanitization of common areas
• Other duties as assigned by management
